Director, major events for host broadcasters including ITN Productions, Film Nova and Sunset+Vine
Laura is the go-to director for world-class field coverage. Her detailed understanding of the sport, her creativity and the ability to motivate her team combine perfectly and the results speak for themselves. She plans meticulously but is always ready to react to the events as they unfold. Great storytelling is a rare skill and Laura has it in abundance. Helen Kuttner, Host Broadcaster, 2022 Commonwealth Games, Birmingham.

Presentation producer and deputy series editor, MotoGP for North One Television/BT Sport
"Laura is a great storyteller. She has an eye for detail and captures the emotion to draw you in. She’s fun and adventurous to work with." Suzi Perry, Presenter.

“Laura's passion lies in the narrative. She invests time with her subjects and brings their stories to life. We've spent many production hours together on the MotoGP and Laura is always at the heart of the action, in the paddock, searching for the editorial behind the action.” Melissa Dyer, VT Coord. North One for BT Sport.

Presentation producer, Formula E for Aurora Media Worldwide (Awarded Best in Sports Media at Sports Business Awards 2019)
Laura is a consummate professional. She has a lightness of touch with talent, is clear sighted in editorial and story-telling, a creative film maker, calm in live pressure-cooker situations and a team player. Lawrence Duffy, Managing Director, Aurora Media Worldwide.

I’ve had the privilege of working with Laura for 4 years and I honestly can’t remember how I survived a race weekend without her! Laura is the best in the business and the safest pair of hands out there. She’s constantly planning ahead, working with multiple hats on and juggles it seamlessly. Whatever the challenge Laura makes sure our broadcast programme is the best it can be and she will always go above and beyond. Not only is Laura extremely professional, her talent is admired by her peers, she is also a popular and much loved member of the crew. A team player at all times. We are lucky to have her... So please don’t hire her and take her away from us! Nicki Shields, Presenter.

Financial services
When we set up our own firm Casterbridge Wealth, I leant on Laura for help in clarifying the vision and feel of the message for our firm. Then we engaged her services to help with the imagery, the content and the strategy of the launch of the firm through documents, online and PR. I would recommend Laura’s skills, perspective and drive in developing existing and new service offerings within financial services. Keith Edwards, CEO Casterbridge Wealth.

Charity sector
Two Wheels for Life
"We've had such a brilliant experience of working with Laura over the years including filming outside broadcast interviews with motorcycle celebrities and working with her to get great interviews to use for fundraising campaigns with our ambassador Suzi Perry. While setting up a new series of IGTV broadcasts she helped us develop an exciting programme of material as well as plan the production. She brings incredible experience of broadcasting including new technologies and a great eye. Most importantly she's a joy to work with." Andrea Coleman, CEO Two Wheels for Life.

Witham Hub
We are a small newly formed charity trying to get our name out to the local community. We had never done any filming before, but Laura put our minds at rest and was super patient, especially when we got the giggles. We were overwhelmed by the results, the video is so professional and made us all look like professional actors.

Her ability to bring out the best in her subject, putting us at ease, even though we didn’t realise she was doing it, is a quality few have. We would highly recommend Watts Where ... you will not be disappointed! Tina Townsend, Chair, Witham Community Hub.

Help for Heroes
"I worked with Laura leading up to the Cricket for Heroes Event at The Oval. The sensitivity that she showed towards the various wounded, injured and sick servicemen was sublime. She took the time to get to know us; serene and patient, carefully building trust. She quickly became an extremely popular and respected member of our team, which is a testament to her professionalism, her empathy and her compassion. The result was an outstanding series of wonderful and incisive films, which perfectly captured the sense of the magnificent occasion and the juxtaposed real issues that we deal with on a daily basis. After numerous viewings, her Oval films still bring a lump to my throat and a tear to my eye, which is a real testament to Laura's film making, for tough guys like us." Barrie Griffiths, H4H Ambassador.

Veterans With Dogs
Watts Where Media is committed to a high standard of work and to an attention to detail that does justice to the difficult and complex subject of mental health. Laura understood our brief and what we were attempting to achieve whilst maintaining a high level of empathy for our subject matter. She is an extremely patient person and is always available and happy to help! In short, Watts Where Media are professional, forward thinking and creative, they deliver exactly what you ask for and more and we have no hesitation in recommending their services. Craig MacLellan, CEO, Veterans With Dogs.

Religious content
Always curious, I'm the creator of Birds Who Pray, a multimedia project focusing on the lives, views and experiences of female clergy around the world, their stories are told through podcasts and photography.

"Laura invited ordained women in the Anglican Church in Perth to participate in Birds Who Pray to explore the stories of women who have allowed the possibility of God to shape and form them for living and living out faith, hope and love. As the storytelling flows, the faith which shows that we are all the subject of God’s love is uncovered step by step, person by person."The Most Reverend Kay Goldsworthy AO, Archbishop of Perth

Adventure
I'm always interested in new projects whether it's mainstream sport or something more adventurous, like the Adaptive Grand Slam.
I curated and created the daily content for the Adaptive Grand Slam's second attempt on Mount Aconcagua, culminating in a 10 minute film profiling the team's adventure and grew their Facebook audience and engagement beyond expectation.

Testimonials for Laura's TV work with BBC Sport:
“Laura is a talented and creative producer with several years experience at the highest levels of Sports production. She is a fine film maker who always gets the best from the talent she works with. In short, a real asset.” Dave Gordon, Head of Major Events, BBC Sport.

“I worked with Laura at several Live TV broadcast sports productions for the BBC on different locations in Europe. At every location Laura provided leadership in a project with a multidisciplinary team, inspiring everyone with her special way in communication and her vision about this type of TV broadcast production. At the same time, she was focused in result oriented actions as well as creating a nice atmosphere in the team of technicians and presenters. I am sure any future business partner can count on Laura's professionalism, effort and love for her job.” René Schaap, Connecting Media Brasil.

"I first met Laura a week before I was due to run the Great Manchester Run. I was waiting for a liver transplant and she was producing the charity films for BBC Sport so our worlds collided and we made a feature that raised awareness about organ donation. Despite my nerves and my declining health, Laura reassured me and I enjoyed the experience. In a bizarre twist, on the eve of the run, a liver became available and instead of lining up with the masses, I had a liver transplant on the morning of the GMR. Six years on, I’m continuing my campaigning with support from Laura who gives me confidence and advises on how to work with the media. She provides great back up." Clare Bond.
